Friday, Sept. 2: ¡Todos a Bordo! Hispanic Heritage Night at the Museum (5-7 p.m.)

El Museo Latino and Union Pacific's Latino Employee Network (LEN) are partnering with the UP Museum to bring you a night full of music, dancing and more in a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. El Museo Latino is Nebraska's only Latino art and history museum.

"We welcome the opportunity to partner with the Union Pacific to showcase our talented ballet dancers as well as share information about El Museo Latino," said Magdalena Garcia, director of El Museo Latino.

In addition to a special presentation by "CHOMARI" Ballet Folklórico Mexicano from El Museum Latino, visitors will receive a passport card to explore eight different stations providing interesting facts about the railroad and the community. Each station's content will be available in both English and Spanish translation provided by talented LEN volunteers. Guests will also be invited to spin to win the prize wheel for passes to the movie, "The Wild Life!"

Admission is free to all family nights. Donations are gladly accepted.

Family Nights at the Museum are held the first Friday of every month. In addition to providing extended hours for visitors to access the Museum's range of interactive displays on railroading and the history of the west, each family night will also feature a unique arts or learning opportunity that is fun for the entire family. Next month's Family Night is Oct. 7, and features the theme, "Go West: Exploration Night at the Museum."
