Friday, Feb. 2: Nature's Shadows! Celebrate Groundhog Day at Family Night (5-7 pm)

Union Pacific Museum’s monthly family night will celebrate Groundhog Day with activities centered around shadows. We’ll share the official review of how much longer winter will last, learn about groundhogs and enjoy a story. See how weather can affect the railroad and view images of trains and their shadows. Partners for the evening are Pottawattamie County Conservation, Council Bluffs Public Library, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, Fontenelle Forest and Operation Lifesaver. El Patrón will play music and patrons can spin the prize wheel.

Admission is free; however, donations are gladly accepted.

Guests will receive a punch card for 2018 upon arrival at family night.  Those who have their card stamped at least seven times this year are eligible for a six-person trip aboard the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad in Boone, Iowa. A drawing for the trip will occur at the Dec. 7, 2018, family night. Winners must be present to win.
