Union Pacific Railroad Museum Unveils New Audio Tours
The Union Pacific Railroad Museum is rolling out a new audio tour for visitors April 2. This unique tour will be available free to all visitors, on a first-come-first-served basis, as an enhancement to the exhibits.
"Many visitors are interested in learning more than the exhibit panels or group tours can accommodate. An audio tour is a perfect way to delve deeper into the history of Union Pacific without having to plan a group tour weeks in advance," stated Patricia LaBounty, collections and outreach manager. "Special guest segments during the tour include noted Union Pacific author, Maury Klein, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Professor Dr. David Wishart and many Union Pacific employees. There always is something more to learn."
The audio will provide visitors with an extra hour and a half of information beyond the exhibit panels and labels, in a stimulating and captivating interpretation using a blend of music, sound effects and voice.
The hand-held devices will be available on the entry level of the Museum.
