"America Travels By Rail" newest permanent exhibit opens early summer 2010

Highlighting the heyday of Union Pacific's passenger era, America Travel's by Rail will immerse the visitor in a passenger railroading experience showcasing the heyday of Union Pacific passenger service from 1930 through the transformation of rails to trails in Iowa. Visitors will experience the best of the passenger railroad era in the United States from Lounge Cars to Dining Cars. Extensive visible storage will allow the Museum to put most of the railroad china and ephemera currently in storage on display.
