Friday, July 1: Family Night at the Museum (5 - 7 p.m.)

Union Pacific Railroad Museum is offering Family Night at the Museum, from 5 to 7 p.m. the first Friday evening of each month. In addition to providing extended hours for visitors to access the Museum's range of interactive displays on railroading and the history of the west, each family night will also feature a unique arts or learning opportunity that is fun for the entire family.

On July 1, from 5 - 7 p.m., visitors will experience "Red, White and You: Community Night at the Museum." Meet your community firefighters, see inside a real fire truck, meet and greet one of Union Pacific's own special agents and discover new ways you can be a healthier and happier citizen of your community! This month's community partners include the Council Bluffs Fire Department, Union Pacific, Live Well Council Bluffs, Heartland B-Cycle, Operation Lifesaver and Anthony the Balloon Man.

Representatives from Operation Lifesaver will be on site to provide information, child-centered activities and fun give-aways that promote community safety around railroads.

Admission is free to all family nights. Donations are gladly accepted.

The next Family Night at the Museum will be August 5 and features the theme, "Ticket to Ride: Game Night at the Museum." Our friends from Spielbound, Omaha's community board game cafe, will be bringing games for all ages to explore!
